Abstract
When considering that the physical structure of a service directly affects the working conditions of professionals and influences their health and practices, and that most health interventions end up involving the use of medication, in order to optimize processes already in place, but extremely failures, the complete structural and managerial restructuring of Pharmaceutical Assistance (AF) in the municipality of União da Vitória, Paraná, was initiated. Thus, this experience report aims to demonstrate the reformulation of the Basic Pharmacy in question, which, for a long time, was placed in the context of precarious building conditions and old problems of managerial and organizational orders, which caused significant damage to the population. as well as addressing the implementation of the District Pharmacy. It is therefore a descriptive study, of the experience report type, on the reorganization and restructuring of municipal pharmaceutical care that took place between 2017 and 2022. As a result of the actions, the municipal Basic Pharmacies of União da Vitória became a reference and the improvements were observed in several aspects, mainly with regard to humanized care. The change in the scenario was clear and today around four hundred people are served a day in the central and one hundred and twenty in the district, which provides assistance services in the same way as the first, optimizing the service with a view to redirecting demand. As a basis for this conclusion, a significantly greater number of people attended and satisfied with the services offered was evidenced, which seems to be based on the finding of a very low percentage of lack of medication and on the aforementioned reformulation. However, one should be aware that there is no point in improving the physical structure without the correct management of the pharmaceutical care cycle, which allows for the adequate supply of medicines, making it clear that basic pharmacies must have infrastructure and human resources capable of allowing the integration between services and the development of AF actions.
